Start Selling Your Products on eBay Using Your Shopify Store

Wondering how to start selling your products on eBay using your own Shopify store? Here are the necessary steps to connect eBay marketplace to your Shopify account!
Selling on eBay using the Shopify platform is super easy. The first thing you need to do is set up the integration and connect your eBay account with your Shopify store. Once you add eBay as a sales channel, you will have to create an eBay account (if you already have an eBay account, you can skip this step).

5 Steps to Start Selling Your Products on eBay

In order to start selling your products on eBay using your Shopify store, complete these 5 steps:

#Step 1: Add eBay marketplace as a sales channel: Log into your Shopify account, find the Sales Channels list and click +. Find the option eBay and click + to its right. Congratulations, you’ve successfully added eBay marketplace as a sales channel. Then, you will be shown the official permissions you are granting to your new sales channel. These permissions include the ability to manage orders, products, customers, and other information from your store. All of these permissions are necessary for eBay to receive orders.

#Step 2: Link your eBay account to your Shopify store: To start linking eBay to your Shopify store, click Connect. You will be obligated to give eBay access to your Shopify account and this will enable eBay to share information about customers, messages, orders, and sales to Shopify. To continue, click Add Sales Channel. A pop-up window will appear. Enter the information required and after you create your account, allow Shopify access to your eBay account. To continue, click I Agree. This enables Shopify to manage your eBay listings, product information, and inventory levels, that is one of the main reasons on why online businesses in Australia chose Shopify as their preferred platform. As you can see, it is quite easy to start selling on eBay using the Shopify platform.

#Step 3: Configure the eBay policies: You will be asked to configure a few policies for the eBay listings. You need to provide details about your location, fulfillment methods, sales terms, and more. If you can’t complete some of the suggested policies, you can customize them to suit your business needs. When you are done, you will be automatically returned to the eBay sales channel overview.

#Step 4: Choose products to publish: Now that you’ve connected your eBay account to your Shopify store, it is time to choose the products to publish on eBay. The products published are known as listings. If you want to publish all of your products at once, click Review and Publish All Products. If you want to publish some of your products, click Choose Individual Products. Regardless of the options you choose, you will have a chance to organize your listings before eBay customers see them.

#Step 5: Customize the selected products: You will see a table showcasing the products you’ve selected to publish and sell on eBay. The rows in the table represent the products while the columns represent parts that will be created and shown for each product. By clicking in the cells in the list, you can make as many changes as you like. At this point, it is important to focus on adding keywords, writing titles, and making sure your descriptions are informative and clear. The changes you make will determine the content of your eBay listings and the number of sales you’ll make. Once you are done, click Save and Publish All Products.

There you go – the 5 steps required for you to start selling your products on eBay. You are now an official eBay seller and an owner of a multichannel business, selling your products on both eBay marketplace and Shopify platform.
